The White House will host a civil rights concert to celebrate Black History Month featuring such greats as Smokey Robinson, Natalie Cole, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Queen Latifah and Bob Dylan.

The concert, called “In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music From the Civil Rights Movement,” will be on Feb. 11 in the State Dining Room, and is timed to celebrate Black History Month. It will be hosted by Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah, and will feature songs associated with the civil rights movement as well as readings from famous civil rights speeches.

The concert is the latest event in a music series started last year by First Lady Michelle Obama and will be broadcast on public television and streamed live online at whitehouse.gov.

Forgot Obama was Black??

I think that although he may have meant this as a compliment attempting to say that while listening to President Obama’s State of the Union Address, race didn’t matter… it was a poor choice of words.

Announced last night via Twitter, The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will play host to a memorable performance of Drake’s “Forever” remix featuring, Lil Wayne, Eminem and Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker.

The 51st Annual Grammys saw a similar performance when T.I. performed the boastful posse cut, “Swagga Like Us” featuring Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and Kanye West.

However, for unspecified reasons, Kanye West, who is also featured on “Forever,” was not named in the announcement as a performer. West is still experiencing backlash for crashing the 2009 MTV VMA stage during country singer Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.

This will also likely be Lil Wayne’s last award show performance before his early February sentencing for pleading guilty to a felony gun possession, stemming from a 2007 arrest in NYC. Weezy is expected to serve up to a year in jail. (Source)

MTV has announced that its hit reality show, Jersey Shore, will return with the original cast for a second season this summer.

Pauly Delvecchio, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Ronnie Margo and Vinny Guadagnino will all “escape the cold Northeast and find themselves in a new destination” for season 2, MTV said in a statement. (Source)

I fell in love with this show… the cast seems so cool but I think ultimately I just love Jersey.

In a recent interview, Pauly explained that while fame is all kinds of fun, he’s having trouble keeping the ladies at a safe distance. “I’ve had so many girls stalking me, it’s crazy,” he said, adding that one female especially creeped him out. “She drove five hours to come see me, then five hours back. She was what I call a stage five clinger.”

We’re told it was important the producers wanted to avoid infighting among the cast … at least on the subject of money — so Pauly D, The Situation, Snooki and the gang will all be paid exactly the same.

As we first reported, the cast negotiated their deals like the cast of “Friends” — either they all got paid the same … or nobody got paid. Read more: TMZ.

So where will MTV send the cast next season?? Who knows but I can’t wait…

Someone asked on the Wendy Williams show a couple nights ago: “Since when is reality television a full time job??” Random thought: “I should be on a reality show.. LOL. Maybe one day!”
